Wightlink is an easy-to-use and award-winning ferry service with regular sailings between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.
It runs a car ferry service between Portsmouth and Fishbourne (journey duration: 40 minutes) and a Fastcat service for foot passengers from the Hard Interchange to Ryde Pier Head (journey duration: 22 minutes). It also operates a car ferry service between Lymington and Yarmouth.
Wightlink is among the busiest ferry operators in the country, transporting 4.5 million passengers every year, across some 45,000 sailings. Lately, Wightlink has invested heavily in environmentally friendly technology, and welcomed a hybrid vessel to its ship in 2018 - the Victoria of Wight, which runs on conventional engines and state-of-the-art batteries. The Victoria of Wight runs from Portsmouth to Fishbourne and can regularly be seen out in the Solent.
