Portsmouth's Park & Ride service offers commuters and visitors to the city a quick, easy and cheap way into Portsmouth. It is conveniently located on the M275, Junction 1, and is open daily.
Buses run every 15 minutes at peak times, with request stops including the City Centre, Portsmouth University and The Hard Interchange. The hop-on, hop-off nature of the service also means passengers can travel between stops.
During the summer months an additional park and ride bus service to Southsea is available – check the website for more information on specific dates and times.
Regular customers can benefit from cheaper fares by purchasing a smartcard.
If you're driving to the event from outside Portsmouth, consider using the dedicated PR4 park and ride service to Southsea Common. This special service provides participants, spectators, and supporters with a comfortable and sustainable journey to and from the event.
The service runs on both days and takes just 20 minutes to reach Clarence Pier. It starts at 7.40am on Saturday and 6.20am on Sunday. The Portsmouth Park and Ride is conveniently located just off Junction 1 of the M275.
Certain roads will be closed to traffic over some of the weekend. The closures will remain in place until runners have passed through the area.
Park and ride day return tickets cost just £4 for up to five people. Passengers can buy tickets through the First Bus app, or through the RingGo app using RingGo location code 1398. Alternatively, pay the bus driver by cash, card or contactless payment.
For more information, visit the Portsmouth Park and Ride website.
The Park & Ride site is open:
6.30am - 7.45pm Monday - Friday
7.30am - 7.45pm Saturdays
8.30am - 6.30pm Sundays
Times may vary during summer with later bus returns – check the timetables for full details.
Services run year round, except Christmas Day. No overnight parking is permitted.
