Portsmouth is well served when it comes to getting a taxi. There are local firms such as Aqua Cars, City Wide and Andi Cars in operation 24/7, as well as drivers for popular app-based cab company Uber.

These run short services across the island, or can accommodate longer bookings for those travelling further afield (such as to Gatwick or Southampton airports). Clarks Airport Transfers, meanwhile, runs a dedicated service to any UK airport or seaport.

Remember, only use reputable, licensed cab companies. If you're unsure, don't risk it.
