Go behind the scenes with the National Museum of the Royal Navy's skilled team of shipwrights to explore the conservation work on the portside of HMS Victory's scaffolding.
Shipwrights will discuss how they combine traditional and modern tools with teamwork and skill to undertake this vital conservation work.
Please note, participants must be 16 years or older, and able to climb multiple flights of steep stairs and walk on uneven surfaces. It will also be essential to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as steel toe capped boots, hard hat and hi-vis jacket. These will be provided.
Space is limited so advance booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. There will be a maximum of 15 people per tour, which will each last for 45 minutes.
Please note, booking this event does not include general entry to the museums or ships. A valid ticket is required to visit these areas.
On the day, participants should meet at the entrance of HMS Victory Live: The Big Repair to begin the tour. Allow time for security checks and to walk up to the ship.
