Composite of crafts from the I Can See The Sea Workshops

About

I Can See The Sea hosts a series of workshops open to all ages and abilities in the Porters Lodge at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Workshops include Weaving and Macrame with Alice, Glass with Leanne, and Collage with Cut Up Club. Visit the website to browse and book all workshops, or get in touch if you're a local artist and want to run events of your own.

Workshops include:

Introduction to Spoon Carving Workshop
Mandie of Shack Out the Back invites you to enjoy a relaxing Saturday afternoon, creating your own unique wooden spoon using Hazel. This £35, fully inclusive session includes all materials, refreshments and tuition. Mandie will guide you through the process step-by-step and provide advice on finishing. A reasonable degree of dexterity is helpful, although help will be available.

Moss Workshop
Dive into the world of natural moss, to learn the process of how you can create wall arrangements that bring beauty to your home. You'll also learn the story of polar moss production. All materials are included, plus refreshments.

Kenzan Floral Ikebana Workshop
Explore the Japanese meditative process of Floral Ikebana, where you will learn to create flower arrangements that bring beauty to your home. All materials and refreshments will be provided.

Learn to knit with Nautical Knitters
Would you like to learn to knit? The Nautical Knitters can teach you all you want to know! There will be a small weekly group taking place each Thursday from 3 to 24 October inclusive, 11am to 1pm. The total cost of the course is £100 per person.
Refreshments will be provided, with needles and yarn available too - as well as a friendly welome in a congenial environment.
This unique course will help you to look at your problems in a different light - and be able to knit, following a basic pattern.
