The Sea Angling Classic returns to Portsmouth this June. Offering the largest and most valuable prize table ever in the UK, this event is a catch, photograph and release format expected to focus on five species.

The Sea Angling Classic is designed to incorporate more than just fishing and aims to have educational, environmental and business benefits for the city. The organiser has engaged with local junior schools; participants are obliged to do a beach clean as part of their entry and the university will be using the fishing data to assist with its research into the Solent's flora and fauna.
