Illustration of Hatch, the Mary Rose dog, with a craft activity item made at the museum

About

It's time to pack your bucket and spade and start planning your holidays at the Mary Rose Museum this half-term!

What do you take on holiday with you in 2025? Your clothes? A comb? Some spending money? See what the Tudor crew would have taken with them when they hoisted up the anchor of the Mary Rose and set sail!

Spend some time with your family and friends hunting for them in the museum.

Hatch's History Detectives Trail – updated for May 2025!
Discover the special update to the museum's popular Hatch's History Detectives trail, which includes a half term exclusive extra from local artists at Seekers Create. Follow the ship's dog's paw prints through the museum galleries and find out the crew's top tips for travel!

Make your own clay postcard in the activity centre
Interactive activities take place every weekday over the May half term (Monday 26 to Friday 30 May, 11am to 3pm)

Follow Hatch's paw prints to the Activity Centre, which will be open for you to create your own clay postcard souvenir, which you can decorate with summer rose petals, inscribe your own message, and create your unique artwork. It's the perfect souvenir to remember your visit to the Mary Rose Museum!
