HMS Victory

HMS Victory

What better place to really soak up the atmosphere of HMS Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar than on board the ship itself?! A visit to the world’s oldest warship still in commission will take you back through centuries of history. Explore every deck - visit the Great Cabin where battle plans were formed, and the gun decks where sailors prepared for battle.

See a bronze cannon, which took 10 to 14 men to fire! Imagine the sights, smells and sounds of battle, which would roar throughout each deck of the ship. Make your way down below to the Orlop deck (mind your head!) where the surgeons carried out their duties and take a moment to pay your respects to where Vice-Admiral Nelson lived his last moments.

It’s your chance to relive the day that changed history forever.
