The Spice Island Inn is ideally located on the harbour-side at Portsmouth with the beer garden overlooking the water. Dating back to the 1700's, the name derives from being the first place spices from Jamaica landed. It was originally three old smugglers pubs and further history is written down inside the venue. Passers by, visitors and tourists come to Spice Island and can partake of their meal anywhere in the pub. During the winter this is mainly a food house whereas in the summer many drop in for a refreshing drink or two.
