The Jolly Sailor is a landmark on Southsea's seafront and has been described as one of Southsea's premier venues. It offers a large contemporary bar decorated to a high standard with a warm and friendly atmosphere, a fine selection of food is available - all produced from fresh ingredients and cooked to order. The menu is wide ranging from fillet steak to homemade burgers with the option of seating in the restaurant area or Al Fresco on one of the terraces overlooking the common. The Sunday menu is delicious with all the favourites such as roast rib eye of beef and lamb shank.There is live entertainment at the weekends ranging from soul, R&B and Jazz to modern hits. Sunday afternoons from 5pm until 8ish is the time for live jazz. Guest rooms are also available at very reasonable rates. Function hire is available also.
