About
Phoenix Helicopter Academy is the South's favourite Helicopter Training School and Charter Operator.
Since it was established in 2009, the company has quickly grown to become one of the UK's most trusted helicopter providers.
The company is owned and run by instructors and pilots who are passionate about their jobs and will go out of their way to fulfil the customer's needs and make flying lessons, charter or pleasure flights the un-rushed, enjoyable and rewarding experience they should be.
Starting with a single branch at Goodwood Aerodrome with only one aircraft and two employees, Phoenix has since expanded to cover the beautiful areas of West Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire. With branches at Goodwood Aerodrome and Blackbushe Airport, Phoenix has a vast fleet of training and charter aircraft including Robinson R22s, R44s and a Cabri G2 - with the hope to expand the fleet in the near future.
From Phoenix’s modest beginnings, the company now offers a comprehensive training package for those wanting to gain anything from their PPL(H) all the way through to CPL(H), as well as offering a diverse range of Pleasure Flights and charter opportunities.
Keeping the main principle as fantastic personal customer service, Phoenix has students and customers alike returning for new experiences every day and is proud to offer the highest standards of flights and training from passionate instructors and pilots.
The latest expansion from Phoenix has seen it expand into the Portsmouth area, with a new branch at Lee-on-Solent Airfield.
Plans to develop operations at Solent Airport were initiated by the team when they noticed a demand for helicopter training and charter in Portsmouth. Steeped in history, the Solent airport provides breath-taking views of the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth Harbour. Solent is also the largest employment zone in the area and is set to become the premier location for aviation.
As re-development of the airfield and local area continues, Phoenix Helicopters is excited to be a part of the proceedings, especially at this most prominent time when the airfield is celebrating its 100th year.
