Conductor and composer Will Todd is heading to Portsmouth for a Come and Sing event with the Portsmouth Choral Union.

This workshop day will feature Todd's own Passion Music and is open to all singers. Go along and learn from Will Todd himself!

Passion Music is a 40-minute choral composition that blends jazz and choral music. The piece is scored for a female gospel soloist, choir, and seven-piece jazz ensemble. It explores Easter-themed texts and highlights different points in the Passion story. It has new settings of the hymns 'Greater Love Has No Man' and 'Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?'

The workshop will take place in the David Russell Theatre at Portsmouth Grammar School, PO1 2LN.

Accompanists on the piano will be David Gostick and Sue Graham-Smith.
