About
The music of legendary composer John Williams features in the first of two Summer Symphonic Spectaculars taking place in Guildhall Square.
The full Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra will perform at Portsmouth’s Guildhall Square for two summer shows - the first featuring some of Williams' most iconic film scores, and the second a tribute to pop icons ABBA.
'John Williams: The Master' will bring the renowned composer’s most beloved music from the big screen to Guildhall Square. Attendees can expect to hear classics from Hollywood blockbusters including Star Wars, Jurassic Park, JFK, Jaws, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler’s List, ET and many more.
With a party atmosphere guaranteed, both nights are sure to end with a fantastic finale!
Presented by The Guildhall Trust in partnership with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the symphonic spectacular events in the square are an exciting development in the special and long-standing relationship between the two organisations. The BSO performed the first concert inside Portsmouth Guildhall after it was re-opened by HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1959, and these latest shows will be a magnificent spectacle in which to experience live outdoor symphonic concerts with the venue providing a befitting and stunning backdrop.
Ticket options include single-show, full weekend, and VIP upgrades.
