Portsmouth Cathedral hosts regular live music performances as part of its Lunchtime Live sessions. Hear some of the classical music world's most beloved pieces, played by world-renowned talents, or listen to the sounds of the incredible 1861 John Nicholson organ.
All performances are free of charge and take place on Thursdays at 1.10pm.
Mehreen Shah
16 May
A recital with a programme of songs given by operatic soprano Mehreen Shah, accompanied by pianist Jamie Gunn. This recital will be in St Thomas's Chapel.
Fumi Otsuki & Gisela Meyer
23 May
Violinist Fumi Otsuki returns to Portsmouth Cathedral with pianist Gisela Meyer, to play a programme of music by Grieg, Stenhammar and Elgar, as well as Fumi's own Piano Sonatina. This recital will be in St Thomas's Chapel.

A recital given by a group of talented young music students from Portsmouth High School, led by Director of Music George Tinsley.
Nora Rechel

Portsmouth Cathedral's current Michael James Organ Scholar, Nora Rechel, gives a recital on the cathedral's wonderful Nicholson organ.

The Portsmouth Grammar School presents a group of their skilled young musicians. This recital will be in St Thomas's Chapel.
