Join the sea of green as the Rowans Hospice's Shining Stars Walk returns to Portsmouth.

Following last year’s success, the walk is back, and for 2025 will take place on Saturday 20 September at 7pm.

This fun evening comprises a 4- or 8-mile sponsored walk around Portsmouth and Southsea, starting at HMS Temeraire. Registration opens at 5.30pm, and until the walk starts you’ll get the chance to get glittered up, purchase merch and take photos. There will, of course, also be a warm-up just before the walk takes off.

Whether you have a personal experience with Rowans Hospice, you’re remembering a loved one, or simply supporting this very worthwhile cause, this event is open to everyone!

The walk

Choose from a 4- or 8-mile walk, breathing in the sea air, seeing the Spinnaker Tower by night, and being wowed by the wonder of HMS Warrior - where you'll be able to place a candle on the deck and enjoy some live music.

The glitter station will be back for 2025 and promises to be even bigger! After registering yourself on arrival, pop to the station to get your face glittered by one of the amazing volunteers.

This year, it is suggested that participants raise a minimum £100 sponsorship per person, or £150 minimum as a family team.
