About
Tudor Sailing Club, situated on the western shores of Langstone Harbour, offers dinghy and cruiser (yacht) sailing and racing, as well as fixed seat rowing, kayaking and paddleboarding. With the harbour offering stunning views and quiet unspoilt places for relaxation, it's the perfect location whether you're looking for a place to make new friends, somewhere to get involved as a family, or just a space for new adventures.
The club dates back to 1949, when it was founded to encourage the arts of sailing and seamanship, as well as promoting marine and social events for members and friends. Today the friendly and welcoming club provides an excellent base for water activities, with a slipway that extends down to low water, making launching possible at all states of tide.
On site is a modern and comfortable clubhouse - the perfect place to relax after time on the water. It offers cosy sofas and a fully stocked bar. The changing rooms are maintained to a high standard ensuring a clean, comfortable environment to get changed in and a hot shower - which can be much-needed after coming off the water.

Cruising
Cruising is great fun for young and old alike, whether you want to sail in the Solent and explore its many harbours and anchorages or venture further afield to visit more distant shores. Not much beats life on the ocean wave!
Tudor Sailing Club has a mixed fleet ranging from small day boats to larger cruisers, though most boats will need to be able to take the ground due to the drying nature of most of our moorings.
Canoe and Kayak
There's a large kayak section at Tudor Sailing Club, which offers a range of regular events to suit all abilities. Friendly support is provided for the novice paddler, and more challenging cruises and competitions are organised for those a little more advanced.
Rowing
Gig rowing is one of the UK`s fastest growing water-based activities and Tudor Sailing Club has the perfect location in the sheltered waters of Langstone Harbour - a major south coast wildlife haven.
It's a great way to get fit, irrespective of age. Rowing improves strength and coordination and, because it's a social sport, it supports mental health too, providing a great way to distress and recharge. Anyone can take part whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced rower. The club hosts introductory rows led by experienced rowers, as well as leisure rows at least twice a week. If you fancy an adventure there are launches after dark, or in the summer rowers can be found enjoying coffee on sword sands.
Sub-Aqua
Since September 2022, Southsea Sub-Aqua Club (SSAC) has become a group member of Tudor Sailing Club. If you've ever wondered what it's like to explore the underwater world or have thought about learning to dive but were unsure how or where to start, this is your chance to take that first step.
Cadets
Each Wednesday between April and September, Tudor Sailing Club provides supervised recreational sailing (rather than a structured tuition program) to juniors aged 8 to 18. It is very popular, catering to all abilities from complete novices up to cadets who regularly win club races against the adults.
