About

Embark on a leisurely paced circular walk, slightly over 2 miles in length, with Portsmouth Friends of the Earth. The route will take in the newest section of sea defences next to Langstone Harbour.

On the walk you can explore the area's new planting, signage and measures to support wildlife - and you may also spot a few birds, too.

The circular route will cross Great Salterns recreation ground and pass Portsea Island's only river. There will be an opportunity to buy an ice cream en route, and the Portsmouth FOE group welcomes all participants for a coffee back at Ocean Retail Park.

Please note that part of the walk is next to busy roads and one section will cross rough ground.

Meet outside Costa Coffee at Ocean Retail park at 10.15am for 10.30am start. The retail park can be reached via the number 19 bus stop, Burrfields Road (a new bus route from the city centre). This walk is promoting the launch of the number 19 bus route (catch the 9.40am bus at Stop D from Portsmouth City Centre Shops South).

Places are free, but please book here: shorturl.at/PC953.
