About
The BTO (British Trust for Ornithology) has reported that House Sparrow populations have declined by over 70% in the past fifty years. By 2002 the BTO had launched a detailed survey and study into possible reasons such as availability of food, loss of nesting sites, and predation. This work continues, but here is one positive response to what to some might seem to be inevitable.
Harry Munt has been hands-on managing habitats since the age of 14 in every broad habitat category in the UK. His primary interest is in rewilding and ecosystem restoration. In this talk, Harry will cover the grassroots conservation project that he ran for two years from 2021 to save the House Sparrow.
