We are proud to have taken part in the We Shine Portsmouth event again this year!
Between the 21 - 23 November 2024, the biannual event We Shine Portsmouth was held to celebrate creativity, culture and communities. Our volunteer Detectives worked with artist William Lindley taking inspiration from the Conan Doyle Collection to co-produce 'The Imaginarium of Sherlock', a floor to ceiling illumination, celebrating the many faces of Sherlock Holmes!
The event took place on the third floor of Portsmouth Central Library in Guildhall Square from 5pm - 9pm every night, with popular storyteller Michael O Leary telling camp fire inspired stories downstairs on the ground floor of Central Library, too!

Inspiration
Our aim is to publicise the Conan Doyle Collection locally and internationally. To do this, we attend and create local events and work with other partners on projects to promote access and to the Collection.- Tactile cubes and stories created by local community groups based upon Sherlock Holmes' stories
- A re-working of A Study in Scarlet in graphic novel form, aimed at Key Stage 2 but enjoyable for all Sherlock enthusiasts!
