In 2022, Detectives visited MAKE at Aldingbourne, to deliver a workshop looking at Dr Anne Chapman's talk focussing specifically on his autobiographical writing nature. Detectives delivered a Deerstalker Hat making workshop, asking participants to think of things that represent them - their favourite foods, music or hobbies and to draw or collage representations of these onto the Deerstalker hats!
In 2023, Seekers Create were commissioned to visit groups Serendipity and MAKE at Aldingbourne again, with the themes from all the talks to create this wonderful Worldwide Doyle banner!
Inspiration

- A series of Sherlock themed workshops held in Portsmouth libraries and a play held by the detectives.
- The detectives planning a workshop based on Conan Doyle's letters from the collection
- Talks from researchers who have recently utilised the Richard Lancelyn Green Bequests' vast Conan Doyle Collection.
- Using the themes The Lost World and The Poison Belt, supported by archives, books and objects from Conan Doyle Collection, our Detectives will host an 'Open Art' exhibition in May.
